December Daily - Day Thirteen

Today was Guy's Christmas Party. We went to the Ramada Inn with his group of 60 co-workers.

This was alot of fun. Drank a little too much which I then paid for on Sunday. But what can ya do?

Played in the yankee swap - won a bottle of jeigermeister.

December Daily - Day Twelve

Another fairly uneventful night home. Nothing new to add. Glad the weekend is here.

December Daily - Day Eleven

Three really isn't much to say about today. It was a frustrating quick day. Everything that I touched went wrong and it just created chaos.

I am trying to put together a new website for a book review site I've been working for - http://www.theromancereadersconnection.com/ - and I've been trying to find a good hosting site and learn the software of Joomla. Its supposed to be extremely easy and user friendly but so far Im' not getting anywhere. I've read through several tutorials but the questions I have don't seem to be addressed.

My December Daily album arrived in the mail yesterday and Canada Customs has decided for some reason that they are going to charge me $14 in taxes on it. ??? wtf?? unless they are cracking down because its Christmas.

December Daily - Day Ten

My two cats have taken to sleeping in my bed everysingle bloody night. My little one always did sleep in the bed, so long as there was a warm fluffy blanket on top of the duvet. But my big fat one never slept in the bed for more than three minute intervals.

But for the past month, I haven't been able to get rid of either one of them. And getting up in the -30 degree weather and turning around to see the two of them snuggled up in the blankets all nice and warm and sleepy makes me jealous that I have to get up.

Oh the joy of being a cat.

December Daily - Day Nine

Finally got my christmas tree fully decorated pictures. Not having the internet at home is really sucking. I don't think my memory cards are going to stand very long with me always using them as storage space for schlepping my pictures back and forth between work and home.

My friend Trisha came over so that I could take some Christmas pictures of her three kids. I was super swamped at work today so I've only gotten one of them edited so far.

THEN Trish took her kids home and came back later on so that we could make more snowman!
Here are her's and mine below. I'm so in love with these ones!!

December Daily - Day Eight

Back to work today. I'll never understand why the weekends blow by like nothing, yet the five day week drags on to no end. Before you know it its Sunday at 5pm and I'm rushing again to get ready for the week.

but alas, its Monday. Another Monday. And its bloody cold. Freakin' freezing. This morning it was roughly -15. Plus wind chill. Not nice.

What was nice is that I went out to a nice warm scrapped off car this morning though.
Today was offically my brother-in-law's 30th birthday. Him and my sister came to town to do a little bit of Christmas shopping so we decided to go out for supper with them to celebrate his 30th.

Then it was time to decorate the chrismtas tree. I only have a photo of the tree with lights oni t right now, will upload more tomorrow.

December Daily - Day Seven

today was a pretty easy relax day. We decided to come back last night from Saint John, rather than sleep and get up to come home this morning. and it was really is always nice to sleep in your own bed rather than a hotel I find.

Went out and got my christmas tree today! woohoo! Going to decorate it tomorrow.

December Daily - Day Six

I'm a little late in posting all of these so I'm going to put up three quick posts doing a run-down of the past three or four days.

Saturday was my brother-in-law's 30th birthday. So Guy and I went to Saint John for the little party that my sister was having for him. We met up with Liz, Trevor, Sandra, Roger, Haley and Davey at about 5 o'clock and went for supper at Rockies. Nachos for me. Really good.

Then the drinking and carousing started. We ended up having a really good time, even though I was thinking it was going to be a bit dull because Trevor's parents were going to be there with us. But it wasn't! Good times by all.

PS. ETA is there really an easier way to load pictures with blogger? I've always hit the picture icon above, and browsed for each picture. But its such a pain in the ass the way Blogger pushes all my text underneath and puts in the extra line breaks.

December Daily - Day Five

I was reading the latest Scrapbooks Etc magazine that came in the mail yesterday and was inspired by the layouts featured to do a "year in review".

I'd like to make a New Year resolution to take one event/one photo of each month and put it into a folder on my harddrive titled "Favourites" or some such silly name. And next year at this time, I will have my photos and journalling to do a year in review of my own.

I don't necessarily want to make this into a mini-album, simply because I'm not good at finishing mini's but even if I do nothing but make one layout from it. A year in review layout. I wish I would have had this for the past year!

December Daily - Day Four

Not to much going on today. Picked up a few good movies today to watch on the weekend.

Made banana muffins and that's about the highlight of the day.

I put up a load of my romance books on Kijiji, I've just completely run out of space. As much as I hate to part with them, the scrapbooking supplies are taking over at the moment.

December Daily - Day Three

My friend Trisha and I got together today and made toilet paper snowman! She had bought one of these little guys from a girl at her work for $8. I took one look at it and thought we could make more of these!

We couldn't believe how incredibly easy it was. I'm going to try some more out this weekend and make them up with some Amercian Craft ribbon this time, rather than Christmasy ones.

It took us all of an hour to make six of them, it was so fast. And fun!

These three below are Trishas! Love the button colours we picked out.

And these ones are mine!

December Daily - Day Two

So today was a pretty uneventful day - as I find most days are. Get up, work all day, drive home, have supper and veg. Nothing to exciting.

I went to Guy's afterwork today for supper. Nothing fancy, just good stir-fry. Then we layed out and watched House, and then the old old Rodney Hawkins birthday celebration that was on the Bravo station. Actually not bad.

I'm thinking to go out and buy a gingerbread house tonight. I haven't made one in years and thought that this year it just might be fun.

I picked up Hancock, and The House Bunny, but think I'll wait until the weekend to watch them.
